The North Carolina Egg Association (NCEA) has a summer campaign to support local, independent restaurants throughout the state after a tough past year. The organization will ask North Carolinians to nominate their favorite restaurant that serves eggs in one the state’s three regions (Coast, Piedmont or Mountains) to win a $1,000 prize to help rebuild or make needed updates, bring back employees, or support employees who have experienced financial losses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The nomination page will be live through Aug. 8.
I’ve partnered with NCEA to showcase a few of the best egg dishes in NC! I visited three restaurants in the Triangle this summer and I'm nominating the three because of their a delicious dishes with eggs. The restaurant with the most votes will win a cash prize of $1000. Dashi Ramen
#1 Nomination: If you are looking for a ramen shop in Downtown Durham, look no further! Dashi Ramen is the place to go! Dashi is a ramen shop with a second-floor restaurant serving Japanese small plates or you can order from the takeout menu and dine outdoors in the patio area. Everything plate I tried was delicious!!

#2 Nomination: Looking for a delicious breakfast spot?! I’ve heard a lot of great things about True Flavors Diner so I had to stop by and try their breakfast. Their breakfast menu is *Chefs Kiss*. I fell in love with every bite! Everything I tasted was flavorful and delicious.

#3 Nomination: I was craving eggs benedict and Carolina Coffee Shop did not disappoint! I enjoyed breakfast setting in their outdoor patio area with a nice view of Franklin St. My meal was amazing!
